I am a refrigerator magnet

stuck on writing

on the side of words

humming like a refrigerator

a magnet stuck so solidly

you cannot pull me away

I am drawn to the power of poems

and will not drop off unexpectedly

I cling to something

larger than myself

the pull of poetry

clipped to my sides

it holds me close

a magnetic force

as huge as

a refrigerator.
