Whether you pick the long or short,
Oft either is more than enough,
Though it may concern you,
Or it may not,
Of climes so interchangable,
The weather appears as variedly,
On the island's unyielding face,
As inneffectually as anything can,
Like whatever torrent of emotions,
Should crash against the heart,
Of what many call the typical Englishman

thanks for your answer. which I tend to agree with.
In some ways it is/might be like that egg and chicken thing isn't it? Thanks again though.
