Every Tear the Skies Have Cried
Life chose to bless me with a little rain amongst the sunshine,
Chose to water my soul and allow it to grow,
I'll confess at the time I resented the pain that was made mine,
But I wouldn't change a thing now I know what I know,
Because it watered the garden at the very heart of me,
Irrigated and enriched that virgin newborn soil,
And the wild flora that spawned from its flow became a part of me,
So not one drop would I stop nor flower would I spoil,
And each drop drained from my land and fed the roaring rivers,
That bring my inner wilds to life with their flow,
And add depth to my ocean as their raging delivers,
Every tear the skies have cried onto the lands below.
So thank you for the rains and thank you for the sunshine,
With which you have chosen to grace my soul,
And know that I cherish each and every drop as mine,
For their life giving waters have helped to make me whole.

Thanks Dorothy, you're so right. as i've said before, "Value the story in your scars, pity those that have none," and I think that sums up the human experience really, value even the tings that have hurt you, perhaps especially the things that have hurt you because they're a sign that you truly felt something.
