Tell the truth my child, or at least try not to lie,

This above all other things will set you free,

It really isn't easy but it's worth it if you try,

Because true meaning is only found in honesty,

And though it's true to say that we don't always know what's true,

It's also true that we know when we're lying,

And even if the truth you hide is only known to you,

It's the greatest burden, that there's no denying,

Above all things be honest with yourself,

From your own voice accept no deception,

For the sake of your physical and mental health,

Tell yourself the truth without exception,

The truth is the, "True North," of your compass,

The one true direction when you're lost,

Value it above all other things,

Because to lose it would be too high a cost.
