Masks We Wear

Do we wear a mask or a facade?

Do we disguise who we really are?

Do we laugh or joke or wear a smile?

Though inside we suffer all that while?

Should we say that we are always fine?

Or tell what is really on our mind?

Are we afraid of being judged?

Or that we shall be misunderstood?

Should we keep our troubles to ourselves?

And have no one around to offer help?

Or should we be brave and have no fear

To share our problems loud and clear?

But we must firstly admit them to our self,

And not place our worries on the shelf.

So to discuss them must be your intent,

Then our lives shall be more content.

Stuart,
an excellent example of self examination which is essential if we are to take stock of who we really are. A well crafted poem with good use of rhyme. Well done and thank you.
