Whispers of Forever

Your eays hold stars that light my way

A gently grow at the break of day.

Your touch is warmth, aspak to true

Like dawn's soft kiss and drops of dew.

Each Breath you take , a song so sweet

A melody where heartbeats meet.

Your laughter dances in the air

A whispered promise, light and rare.

Through  storm  aand sun , through time untord

Your love is fire, fierce yet gold.

Only Color Left

I took for granted everything,

colors of every hue.

I didn’t know those colors

filled my world because of you.

So, like the fool I am

I let you go, too blind to see

that on my own I am just alone

and things turned out to be

where colors slowly slipped away,

the yellows, greens and blues.

And now the only color left…

is the memory of you.

One Love

Two days until Christmas.

Two hours until light.

Too often you fill up

my dreams in the night.

Too tired to keep going.

Too weak to move on.

Two lovers divided…

in one love gone all wrong.

Sepia ‘Through The Eyes Of The Old’

be it a rose of winter compares

a dew drop tear on the first open eye,

I still dream of ghosts walking the towns,

I am there with them on rich hunting ground

hindsight retraces all we should’ve been,

and still we are waiting, mute to a dream

my hope ponders spirit, in a world left to die,

confide, we do in each other,

tonight we ride alone

all that thrives has lost i...

Longing

His love for her was strong but still,

a longing in his soul

took him to where he could be free,

but ocean’s take their toll.

He never did return

although she waited faithfully.

Day and night she sat there watching,

hoping she would see.

She prayed that his ship would return

but fate will have its way.

She waited til her time was spent,

until her hairs ...

A letter to my 6 year old self

They all told you to — “Grow up”.

Thank you for not listening.

Thank you for making up innocent fantasies
Rather than thinking of scary “what ifs”

Thank you for enjoying the present
Rather than drowning in the past
Or getting lost in the future

Thank you for laughing at silly things
instead of worrying about being “cool”

Thank you for eating as your body wished
instead of feari...

And I Wander
