Pluto

The small are mighty, if I may say?

How far from others, must I astray?

Legions from the sun, yet I feel her ray,

Fast but not far, I travel this day.

I’ve been spinning and thinning quicker than fog,

Now these creatures discount me, but this is prologue.

Locked out of Goldilocks, but richer than gold,

Maybe I’ll make it before I get old.

The rare steak

A jacket he said- as I’m digging through my drawer,

Settle on a suit top as tonight’s armor,

“Tonight’s about great minds and important individuals”,

It’s the typical visual that’s pushed me to be so cynical,

Age, tone, and gender- It’s all predictable

I pray at that age my posse isn’t so hypocritical- but formidable.

 Chuckles and laughs as my façade is perfected,

No mas whine

Upon reflection of my past perception I am not questioning,

The  anger with the present that I am presently sequesturing,

The clarity is draining and my perseverence is now waining-

My demeaner is now straining while I am physically refraining.

 

I arrive at the question of future behavior-

Church built on rocks but I am no savior.

No more sweet liquior in the glass tumbler,
