One night, I dreamt a dream.

Sleeping, with eyes wide open.

How can a heart continue to beat?

Even when its broken.

No heart breaks evenly,

one wins, and one will lose. 

despite all the pain i've had to endure,

it is her, the one I will always continue to choose.

And so it goes, round and round

an endless cycle with no end in sight.

To let go, to move on

Hyperventilation, the pain is unbearable, I can't properly breathe.

No tissue around, so I wipe the snot on my sleeve.

Side by side forever, is what I truly believed,

Things fell apart between us unfortunately

Told you I wouldn't give up & I would stick around, 

although the suffereing was real, I took it pound for pound.

I didn't care as long as there were more ups than downs,
