bad news

leg amputated

still asking

When can

I fly?

 

Leading squadron

into battle

brave pilot

soaring spitfire 

dog fight

shot down.

 

Plane skydived

leg trapped

managed somehow

to undo

scrambled out

life saver.

 

Courage willpower

made sure

hero returned

to fight

then command

bloody skies.
