stress nervously inquiring

How much longer?

legs absolutely aching

reassuring smile replies

Your turn soon

afterwards much later

overcome with relief

grateful lady returns

each nurse given

box of biscuits

Doctors under pressure

a special gift

giving something back

meant so much

to them both.
