soaking
I have been sitting in this bowl of water now for about 3 weeks! Things are starting to shrivel... do you think its time to get out? Mr Koala

Why that depends on just how ingrained the dirt was Mr. Koala - sometimes you have to suffer for your arse...

Thankyou both, well it is helping with the bruised coccyx. Mr Koala

Dear Mr. Koala
Have you heard of the famous Paddington Bear of Hyndland Rd Glasgow? http://discuss.glasgowguide.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6084
If your owner, sorry servant, dressed you in different clothes depending on the weather of the day, and put you in a prominent window maybe you could be as famous as Glasgow PB and have people sending you postcards from all over the world! You are at least as cute as him.

Thankyou Mr Bradley.
My owner lives on a canal boat and when I try to sit in one of the portholes and get some sun he shouts and says I am blocking out the light when he's trying to write what he calls his poetry!
I will try and dry off and make for the double front windows where at least I can get a decent conversation from the Canada Geese.
I will need something soft to sit on due to the coccyx trouble however which is still causing me grief (I am on the maximum dose of ibruprofen which for a koala is not enough)....
... right where are those eucylptus leaves?

Poor Mr Koala. I hear that koalas are always a bit dyspeptic. I am so sorry, but I am sure that living with such a cheery soul as our Win, that will make everything better. I have to put up with a stuffed owl, a stuffed crow and a gynormous raven in MY house. But I guess at least Ann Foxglove gives me 22 meals a day! love from Gemma xx

Dear Win, koalas feed their young on a kind of soup released by their anuses. This is a fact. If your koala, in a spirit of hospitality, offers you a bowl of broth I should think twice before tucking in. David Attenborough will back me up on this unusual method of rearing the young. 'Rearing' being the operative word here.

As you can see from the picture I am out of the bowl of water after a good long soak. My koala coccyx is much better today and my owner is at work so I am enjoying the sun... Mr Koala
Hatta - Indeed this is true. The special anal excretion to which you refer is known as 'pap' and is a secret delicacy within the koala world. Don't tell everyone, they will all want some.
Ann - Yes Win is generally cheery. Not so happy on Tuesday however when he came in hobbling and wincing. the fool had walked 27 miles... what do you expect. Maybe I will bake him a pap cake with chocolate buttons on to cheer him up.
