Alvin Culzac

Biography

Performing as the Unknown Poet, Alvin is out and about singing and reading his poetry. He lives in Battle and is the facilitator of the Poetry and Song, Open Mic night every second Thursdays from 8pm monthly, at BAR BLUE, Grand Parade, St Leonards, Hastings. I will also be appearing at the Green Day in Egerton Park, Bexhill-on-Sea on 31st May 2008.

Leaving Hell at Midnight By Alvin Culzac Fellow journeymen and precious Acolytes It was half-past the hour of midnight Betwixt the light-of-dawn on Sunday, when my journey to leave hell began. My endurance was severely tested. The incidents of attempted entrapment were numerous and beyond comprehension. But suffice to say, no flashes of lightening nor strange signals were seen to glow menacingly in the rear of my three-thousand-horse carriage. Therefore, I was able to persuade the tempered beasts to hold sway. Thus allowing me the time to observe the jaded face of hell. Indeed I saw revellers queuing up for their nightly injection of debauchery. And yes, I did see the mini-skirted trannies tottering dangerously on their stilettos. And yes, I did see the many loose virgins putting on display everything they possessed. And yes, I did scrutinize in passing, what seemed like an innocent game of; -You show me yours, and I’ll show you mine- But will I be so fortunate in future to escape London with my modesty intact? Alas, I bow to the superiority of your predisposition.
