Biography
Kay writes poetry in her free time and has a poem for children in The Dirigible Balloon's Chasing Clouds anthology to raise funds for The National Literacy Trust. Kay will have one of her poems in the upcoming Dirigible Balloon anthology called Sky Surfing Excellent Adventures in a Poetry Balloon to raise funds for Juvenile Arthritis Research charity.
What is a Poem?
A cloud gathering up an astronomer's faraway find, a thunderous roar, a solidity of a lighthouse in a storm, a kite ready, set to soar. A reassurance when joining an expedition, a glad encouragement, a song rendition. The ink-drenched and stained with gold page, the whirls of red and blue ink, the hues that fade from candyfloss to grey, the light that makes you rethink.
