I write this to you with a broken soul and a weary heart not sure what to say but this is where i start to figure out the complexity of these emotions this old soul whos spirit is utterly broken i lack drive and motivation depression has become the reason for my isolation i used to be fluid paper my canvas words my paint i cant pick up a pen without falling apart i think thats why i resent you , you changed me in ways i never asked for im empty , i have no passion my chest aches , my eyes burn but they do not form tears i wither in front of you yet you toss my petals on the ground i scream, i beg, i ask the smallest of tasks no effort no reason , another passing season of comfort and tranquilty in this pretend world of you and me so i write this to you my better half to console myself by retouching this art to figure out my beating heart to resolve all that tears us apart i write this to you because im in so much pain the anguish the pitter patter of footsteps as i walk past our memories and see us not you and me not who wronged who not what happened between them not the whipping of the wind as we address the elephant in the room i think...im falling out of love with you i write this to you to pick up my petals adjust my crown to rise from the darkness and my ashes spewed onto the ground to resolidify myself and all i pined to get what i desire to reconsider myself again outside of the pain to love myself in these torn pages , the broken book weighed by the soul its taken i write this to you to start again my journey where my words make me whole again -KHANYIE
