Biography

I started writing 11 years ago and found poetry to be the medium necessary to reign in the ranting in my heart, bringing the picture into focus, most times to my astonishment. I usually write within a poetry form, acting as a guide - a map that my inspiration can follow. Forms provoke me to consider places I might not have been strong enough to look into.

Impressed By past, Inspired With potential The future lies before us open wide. Laugh As much As you can This is not meant To be a life full of hardship and pain. Earth Evokes Love - Expressed With ease earned at The edge of compassion and awareness.

Finally understanding my life Raised not in abuse Instead in a constant atmosphere Contaminated and buzzing, Tumultuously agitating each heartbeat Inhibiting comfort, communication, and compassion Oppressing friendship, love, and the pursuit of happiness Never-ending emotional friction

I am Lorraine I was sacrificed as the first-born female to the god of property and prosperity Indentured there forth to keep the borders intact Against all hardship, annoyances, and conditions That is why I am named of battle and land After the province, Joan of Arc fought to hold “Made famous in battle” by German tongue In Latin, I am “Sea Gull” I took flight after the battle was complete
