Biography

I am just an amateur poet, writing inspirations from the heart. My wife is battling brain cancer, and in these trying times I find some peace in writing.

The Soldier's Questions He's tired, looking at Faith, wondering what does he hope for...what does he not see? A hand, reaches out, who's hand? Is it help in time of need, is it a warning, a sign, what...what is it he asks. Decisions drive him down, down a dark hole, that gets deeper and deeper, the light above ever fading...into nothingness. Will he spark? Will he rise? Will he open the eyes within, and burn with anger at that which tortures him? Will he shout...shout at the darkness? Will it listen, is the darkness the enemy, or that which hides within? Is he afraid? Afraid of the dark? Afraid of the burden that comes with his charge? His charge angers him, a burden, and yet, his one and only passion. Is he dragged down, is he hurting...her? How long to sing this song? How long till he goes free? How long till he knows for sure, he is not in danger. It is not the danger he fears, but the knowledge, that the fight isn't over...and he is tired. How long to keep going? Is he as strong as the tale he writes? Is he as brave as the music he hears? Is he as powerful as the bursts he sees? Can he make the hard decisions? Will he be judged no matter what he chooses? And in the end...will it matter? These...are the soldier's questions.
