The Dawn Consequence
Sun heads west
Sky is a platform
Launching cloud
At multi-coloured dawn.
End of night, daybreak
Green, pink, orange.
More colours
Than you could
Shake a rainbow at.
Symmetry recedes
Shadows evaporate
Leaving only morning
And tiny pieces of darkness
Running for cover.
It almost had you fooled
The cruel delusion
Of the truth;
What makes a day
Ends the beauty of night.

This is beautiful, in thought, imagination, and execution. You see the double-edged sword in everything, a sure sign of the poet's 'inscape', and you can give it expression. Poets, so we are informed, see truth most clearly for this very reason, and consequently are driven to share it.
