Balancing The Ledger
The world is changing,
And in these strange days our ways hint at fearful fall of man,
There’s a silent killer that stalks the streets and leaves them empty since its reign began,
And it grips at the hearts and lungs of the world starving them of breath,
Choking the life out of those worst affected in a muffled shroud of death,
And people have died,
While some who could have warned us made a different choice and lied,
And the weight of every single body bag should hang heavy on their soul,
For every life they could have saved, for every hope they stole,
Well beware liars, and all those who valued politics over lives,
Who stood before their people and offered no regret,
Because when this is all over, all those that have survived,
Will hold your actions to account, and you can bet we won’t forget.

To be honest you're right, it's not necessarily directed at any one leader, party, country in particular. It's more a case of, we all sit at home now with plenty of time to think. Where it came from, who knew, how they handled it, how many lives they thought it worth sacrificing to keep economies going, the people for instance that suggested that health workers were selling PPE through the back door etc, and we should watch, and we should think, and should remember, all of the good, all of the bad, and all of those, that when this is over will want our vote, or want us to but there goods and services, and they should know that we're watching, really really closely, and they should never forget, that we will always remember.
