May 2020 Collage Poem: Somewhere Out There
He's gone
gone
gone
I’m dreaming I’m Bohemian
Last time we met, gyroscopic diner punches back, back, back
punching mp3s isn't the same as punching records
This lockdown is never ending - send me more Vodka
The wrong place, at the wrong time, Icarus falls into the English Channel,
to be washed up on the white cliffs, and the Queen is left immortal,
as the freedom monarch
The only constant is that Nigel is ever changing
The chaser of rainbows crushes childhood dreams in a single comment
The only constant is Nigel is every changing like a bridge of rainbows
Every time I went to the theatre someone behind me was whispering the future
Soiled and discarded in the lap of years,
he clattered into chlorine and wept to see your stars.
Icarus thought he passed Vera Lynn en route to the sun
Antithesis of Stockport --- Paris on the Mersey; it's not where you are, it's what you are.
And you’re here
You’re here
Here.

Gone, gone
washed up
bridge of rainbows
somewhere out there
a violin plays
to bring the stars
here
here again.
