Hot Pink

entry picture

Beautiful flowers, a vibrant shade

the intensity of hot pink,

shocking

delicate creation, Mother Nature made

Petals so delicate, tissue paper thin

bees dart between them,

gathering

fine, dusty grains of pollen kept within

Fragrance allures, aroma heady scent

bees buzzing, enticed

collecting

liquid nectar, sugar rich and heaven sent

Thanks for your kind comments and the like Stephen. Not too hot for us here in Cumbria today. Much better than all the rain and flooding earlier this week.

A gorgeous poem which warms the heart (although it's probably warm enough at the moment!). Thanks for this, Julie.

Julie nature never ceases to inspire.

Take a couple of five petal flowers crowning the silvery foilage, a bee and an observant imagination and transform the colourful palette into poetry.

Beautiful.

Thank you for your kind comments and like Jennifer. The shrub is a the bottom of my garden, I am not sure what it is called, the petals look like crumbled fine paper, so delicate. The bees are very busy in the sunshine today. I have updated the photo too.

Beautiful poem about lovely flowers. Cistus I think, with leaves like sage leaves. Where we go to the sea there are these, also with white flowers, and a later kind with yellow flowers and sticky leaves.
Really liked this.

Jennifer
