Aching All Over

 

My back aches and my head aches

And my eyes ache in bright light

My arms ache and my hands ache

When I go to bed at night

But when anybody asks me

I just say that ‘I’m alright’

My ears ache when I listen

To those heavy metal hits

My stomach aches after a curry

My arse aches after the shits

My toes and fingers ache

As well as my nether region bits

My teeth ache and my neck aches

And my knees they creak and pop

When I’m getting out of a chair

I feel I’m really fit to drop

And I wish this pain in my elbow

Would fuck right off and stop

My mind aches with the thought

Of the state of our great nation

My heart aches for the need

To just fuck off on vacation

The doctor just says not to worry

It’s probably constipation

I finally recognise

Why my father loved to moan

He got to that certain age

Where the pain got to his bones

And now I’ve caught him up

I recognise those old man groans
