Would you give her love and affection?

Even if she was yelling and screaming and being mean?

Or would you turn a blind eye and just say 

"Oh, she just wants attention!"

And ignore her cries for help.

Would you kiss and hold her and tell her everything will be alright?

Even if she was so high on crystal and seeing smoke on everything.

Or would you sit back and judge her out of spite?

Would you still love your daughter if she was like me?

Would you protect and fight for her 

Even if people took advantage of her in her sleep ?

Or would you shout and blame her 

And call her all kinds of slurs?

Would you still love your daughter if she was like me?

Would you console and grieve with her 

If her abuser committed suicide after a drug fueled spree?

Or would you shut your door?

And ignore her alcoholic demons taking control.

Would you still love your daughter if she was like me?

Would you offer her support and advice?

If she was homeless bouncing from rehab to rehab at the age of 19?

Or would you just give up on her and call it a sacrifice?

Would you still love your daughter if she was like me?

Would you remember her as your little girl that you shouldve loved?

Or would you try to ignore what u let happen to me?

Would you still love your alcoholic, drug addicted, depressed, anxiety ridden, ptsd and abuse surviving daughter?

The girl that cheated death to many times to count

Or would you still just sit there and deprive her 

Of the love she so desperately needs?

Would you still love your daughter if you helped make her like me?

Would you accept the responsibility?

Or would you blame her bad choices

On the company she keeps?

Will you still love your daughter, mommy please?

Will you forgive me for all my mistakes?

Will u say "baby I'm so sorry?"

Will you give me a hug and prove I still have family?

Or will u let me continue to sink into this darkness

That is rapidly overtaking me?
