unfathomable
take me down into the well of passion
let me lose myself in the seaweedy ocean
rushed back and forth by unknown currents
to give myself up to the tide.
dive dark and deep, dark and deep
on the seas rough bed,
with tangles of black kelp
and brandy snaps of coral,
serenaded by the whales song,
to feel a salty freeflowing pleasure
at your sailors hands.
just as altitude kills passion
where all is made from light,
and ethereal purity
fades into whiteness
where love cannot breathe,
so, I need depth.
I need a thousand fathoms of your loving.
so dive and dive and dive again with me
down to the bottom
of this dark deep sea
where anemones
are cabochon of ruby and of emerald
and electric eels shine brighter
than any candleglow.
where shoals of spangled fishes
dart and gleam like kisses
and love’s a drowning man and woman
in the oceans swirling bosom
deep deep deep below.

I really like this one Anne. I love the references to the sea, cos being a diver myself I have seen these wonderful sights first hand. You have a beautiful reading voice too.
