I search for clues and tell tale signs

for places of origin, fashion, and demeanour to find

I probe

I compare

I analyse

I evaluate all I see and more besides

I speculate on the minutest detail which may reside

I ponder

I fantasise

I desire

to see behind the veil which life affords

to discover what is discretely concealed

to what is ultimately revealed

I judge

I smile 

I stare

to see if I am noticed or worthy of attention

this breaks my spell and train of thought

which often leads to nought

I imagine

I associate

I cogitate

often for no purpose or reason at all

I am intrigued by what I see

I am drawn to men because I'm gay

so I tend to watch in a certain way
