Today's Walk

entry picture

A delightful walk today
snowy footprints mapped our way
No one else to be found
our two voices made the only sound

A blanket of cloudy grey
lifted to reveal a stunning day
A light dusting of snow
that glistened under the sunny glow

Following in the track of deer
evidence they were somewhere near
We took a moment at the top
admired the view, grateful for the stop

Now at home with a cup of tea
I think to myself, how lucky are we
Count the calories we have burned
tuck into the cream cakes we have earned

Thanks for the likes, Aviva, JD, Stephen A, Stephen G, John and Aisha. The weather is much different here today, think I may be finishing off the cream cakes without burning off any calories?

Thanks for the heads up Aviva, in a rush again.
Take care on your walk to the kitchen.

This is so enchanting and it makes me wish to join in.
I'm going to go make myself a coffee and grab some biscuits!
(I'll be walking to the kitchen and gazing out the window as I go)
