Fame
If the cost of fame is to live your life like an open wound, then I would decline,
The world can know my name if that’s what it wants, but my life must be mine,
And I have no desire to sell my soul for any amount of silver coins,
So keep all thirty dirty pieces, I’ll set my jaw, gird my loins,
And don’t think I’m not motivated, nor that I am meek,
There’s a difference between wanting fame and just feeling the need to speak,
A difference between those that are so desperate to, “Break through,”
And those whose goal is just to share what they believe is true.

Too true. It's not my jam. I want to say what I want to say, but you could keep fame, for my liking, which is good because I won't have it.
