Path Finding
Imagine all the paths that we
Might take from where we are.
Those that keep us local.
Those that take us far.
Imagine going round in circles
Or off tangentially.
Think of trekking to a mountain
Or travelling overseas.
Imagine all the sights and sounds,
The people we might find.
The things we haven't done yet.
The places left behind.
Imagine now the path of air
From breathing in to out.
Think of the paths our blood takes
As it goes about.
Imagining all these journeys
And any other kind,
Is it not what it may feel like
That plays across our mind?
Imagine if the only path
We ever truly take
Is the path of our emotions
Through whatever we may face.
Imagine if the only path
We ever need to choose
Is simply what we wish to feel
Not what we ought to do.
