From the summit of arrogance

Drenched in an armour of pride

Voices clamour in obseqious response

Deceit ascends to its throne of grandeur

Surrounded by a court of snivelling liars

The cohorts of the inadequate media assemble

Slaves acclaim their idols

The ignorant chase each other

A web of confused entanglement captures all

People in emotional and mental anguish

We are lost and cut adrift in a sea of flotsam

Self confiidence shaken, self esteem demeaned

This way follow me says the leader

And the herd troop off in blind obedience

The world is passed by unnoticed

its beauty not worthy of a mere glance

Caught in a net to begin a journey

To the plate of the unkown glutton
