The neighbours from hell have recently arrived

with hooved feet tails and tridents.

They seem OK

moderately well behaved

law abiding, pleasant of aspect

contrary to regulations and expectations. 

 

Apart from an occasional sulphur cloud

that compromises the flowers

they seem to pose no threat

even inviting us in for tea and toast

with bell book and candle

and a picture of the unholy ghost.
