Perseverance
You heard me say I’ll do it, so I will,
a promise is a promise, after all;
no need to yell and put me through the mill,
I’ll do it when I’ve done the bedroom wall.
I know I haven’t started that just yet,
I’ve not had time to go and get the paint.
You want the hedgerow trimming, don’t forget,
my dear, you’d try the patience of a saint.
It does no good to you to worry so,
you have to calm yourself now, I insist.
I have my way of working, as you know,
and all those jobs are scheduled on my list.
Slow and surely does it, never fear,
there’s no need to remind me every year.

Yeah, procrastination and mañana, but I'm originally from Ireland. The Irish aren't as hasty as that....
