Sleep Tight (rehashed)
It is the night of Halloween
time for the spookiest party of all
Stars imitate blinking disco lights
the full moon a sparkling glitter ball
The dance floor crunches under stomping feet
a crisp carpet of Autumn leaves
Pumpkin lanterns glow by candle light
tangled cobwebs hang down from the eaves
The walking dead dance with the devil
witches recite rhyming spells in tune
Vampires flash their white, fang tooth smiles
whilst werewolves stand howling at the moon
Skeletons shake, rattle and roll
The Grim Reaper is lurking out of sight
Frankenstein shocks his bride to be
ghosts and ghouls mysteriously take flight
It is the night of All Hallows Eve
celebrated by some once a year
A time for mischievous tricks or treats
the one night us mere mortals most fear
Eerie, dark clouds shroud the stars and moon
the party is over by midnight
Parents collect their tired children
now tucked up in bed, sweet dreams, sleep tight
