this time comes around every year
The long days of Summer have gone
the long nights of Winter draw near

The clocks fall back every Autumn
the clocks leap forward in Spring
It is not that much of a problem
until some instructions go missing

Take each room and clock in turn
every house forgets at least one
It's December when it gets noticed
by then the importance has gone

Some new gadgets are intelligent
and change the time on their own
Some of our appliances are smart
and can be changed via your phone

Most important is the alarm clock
best to do it now and get ahead
The reward for all your hard work
of course you get an extra hour in bed
