The Grass Is Always Greener
Everything we always wanted
lies on the other side,
no fence could hope to hold us
our envy not denied
The grass always seems greener
jealousy our common fate,
we want whatever we don't have
have no will to work and wait
We think others have it better
and cannot be convinced,
that what we have is just as good
and has earned permanence
As life gives us perspective
learned through experience,
in truth the grass is just as green
on our side of the fence.

Probably too much common sense (remember that?) for people
these days. I enjoyed the content and the style.
