Marriageable age
In a democratic country a person should have freedom to marry at any age they need to. The marriage age shouldn't be imposed upon the citizens by the government.
Can increasing the marriageable age from 18 to 21 help reduce the population of a country?
if yes, then why there are adolescent pregnancies and abortions? The ever increasing rate of adolescent girls getting pregnant is not only alarming but also beyond control. The ever increasing adolescent abortion rate is also no less. As the girls aren't allowed to marry they either abort the child conceived out of wedlock or they throw the child after birth to get rid of the stigma of unmarried mother.
how has increase in marriage age solved the ever increasing population problem?
the government can only increase the marriageable age of the citizens of the country but can they stop them from having illicit relationships and children being born out of wedlock?
if the marriageable age is restricted by the government to control the population then shouldn't they also put restrictions on the age of live-in relationships?
In a live in relationship the child is conceived then what will the government do?
instead of wasting time in deciding the marriageable age of the citizens of the country(which definitely is an individuals natural need and their own right) the government should rather provide government service to all the citizens at the age of 18 years. Focus should be on providing jobs to the citizens rather than deciding the right age of marriage.
Can increasing the marriageable age from 18 to 21 years solve the problems of:-
1. Ever increasing population
2. Adolescent girls getting abortions
3. Adolescent pregnancies
4. Homeless children
so what's the point in increasing the marriageable age. Instead there shouldn't be any age restrictions on marriageable age. It should be the decision of an individual to marry right at puberty or anytime after that.
The government should realize that they are dealing with living beings and not some computer controlled robots where they can reduce population through increasing the marriageable age.
let's look at this problem from another perspective. The girl within the age group of puberty till 21 years aren't mature enough to know what's best for them regarding marriage and their body isn't in a position to be parent.
If the natural human system makes an individual able to reproduce after puberty that means their body is fit to conceive a child and deliver a child. If the mortality rate of women at child birth is high, its simply due to mal nutrition and lack of medical facilities available. What the nature has also already decided none can alter and control it.

If it's the irresponsible parent who goes into the dustbin then it's fine but it's the innocent children born out of wedlock they go into dustbins for no fault of theirs. Not only they go into dustbins but have to live a hard life after that as well.
The number of children born out of wedlock isn't restricted to any one regional group, society, country or religious group.....it's plaguing the whole world irrespective of their religion, caste, creed, country or society.
Such men whom you wish to see in dustbins won't stop having children from several women as it's their law, their social obligation or culture. Inorder to punish them or to put down a certain group of people we can't let innocent children be punished.
There should be a restriction on unemployed. The government should focus on the age limit after which each and every citizen should be highly payed employed.
Marriage or no marriage......population can't be controlled. Children will be born with or without wedlock in all countries, and from all religious groups.
There are several men from all religious groups who are father's of several children but they have no knowledge about them. Their own children are in dustbins and live life of beggars and become prostitutes and criminals. Such a sad state of affair.
