The painstaking pandering

to a 'needs must' philosophy,

following a catechism in complacency,

makes excuses the shirker's panacea,

allows balderdash to glow as bright ideas,

and though the culprits will be quick

to claim they were only forced 

to don the fright-wig,

the question is begged still:

just how many advocates more

does the devil really need?
