Crisp Winters Day

entry picture

A glorious winter sunrise
is the price we pay for clear skies
Tiny intricate shards of ice
the frost decorates where it lies

This sight is free for everyone
a price I am prepared to pay
So wrap up warm and take a walk
nothing beats a crisp winters day

Thank you Keith, your comments are always positive and very much appreciated. I do feel a little bit of a fraud, as these little writes are taken from Dr Amir Khans daily posts on Twitter. I have managed to gather together quite a collection over the past year. He posts lovely scenes and inspiring words and I just try to adapt them into poems. All with his permission of course.

Julie,
The poem and illustration are a perfect match. I think your day is the same as here. Sunshine, crisp underfoot and a bracing air.
Thanks
Keith
