Meet the sorrowful snowdrop
he is not so cheery and bright 
See his gloomy, green features 
painted on his face, pure and white 

His expression does not change 
he always wears the same sad frown 
I wish I could cheer him up
and turn his grimace upside down 

He brings others so much joy 
and wins everyone’s affection 
I wonder if he would smile too
if he saw his own reflection
