She Knows Her Worth
It is not in your lies
Nor in your charms
It was never there
In your deceit
She wasn’t born
To make you replete
Her worth is not drawn
From your opinion of her
It’s time for you now
To take a back seat
The fruit of my womb
Is not yours to keep
Her beauty runs deep
Beyond skin and hair
When she drew her
First breath
You were not there
Her nature is sweet
And her spirit is strong
She knows her own worth
Because I taught her from
Birth
You made a mistake
When you took her
Kindness for weakness
Her foundations are built
On an iron lake
But her heart
Still doth break
Her waters run deep
She has a spine made
From iron
And her heart is pure gold
She purrs like
A pussy cat
But she roars
Like a lion
You were just a chapter
In a book still to unfold
The first
Not the last
Soon you’ll be
A blast from
The past
You took her love
Her kindness
Her joy
But she knows
Her worth
Because I taught her
From birth
