That moment when the new day arrives
dawn breaks on the distant horizon 
The sky burns bright like glowing embers
to welcome and greet the rising sun

Daytime creatures slowly awaken
as the night gently turns into day
Those that prefer the darkness of night
retreat to slumber the day away
