Prepping for a holiday

is tonight’s pre travel mission

mobile boarding cards and passports
All these and more are ticked off
before heading to the airport 

Alarm set, we can’t be late 
hope the roads and motorway are clear
Until we fasten our seat belt
we suffer this stress and fear

Adding to the anxiety
we listen to the evening news
For the past couple of weeks
we have learned of long airport queues

Bags all packed and ready 
we anticipate a restless night
Sleeping with fingers crossed
hope we make our holiday flight
