A 4.30 alarm call 
for our busy day ahead 
A beautiful sunrise greets us 
as we rise from our bed 

First stop is the colosseum
so magnificent and grand 
The third largest in the world
much of the old building still stands 

Next stop was quite the opposite 
underground houses so neat
They keep cool in the summer 
and in winter they hold the heat 

Moving on to the Star Wars hotel
where we all settle down to eat
They filmed a famous scene here
where two main characters did meet

 After lunch we carry on
our journey is hot and long
The clock reads 44 degrees  
the sun’s glare is bright and strong 

Next stop is the Sahara 
for the brave a camel ride 
We opt for the horse and carriage
our relief we could not hide

Dressed in Arabian style 
scarves protect us from the sun
We all look a proper sight
but it is all part of the fun 

We set off into the desert 
one by one in a train line
The sand shifts away under us
like dust particles so fine  

The last activity of the day 
is over far too soon
We will all sleep well tonight 
under the Tunisian moon
