As if by Royal proclamation

the ears of the present incumbent

of Hanoverian proportion stick out noticeably,

though lately since becoming head of state

they have blended in nicely

as his head seems to have grown in stature

equivalent to the gravitas of a Margaret Thatcher. 

 

Somewhat cumbersome his bonce is now ready

for a crown, which should sit well

without slipping down. 

He is I suppose the "ear apparent"

and would no doubt scoff at this verse

regarding it rightly as nonsense arrant.
