While I think it someone is shouting about it

digging their heels in

shovelling something soft

with a distinctive stink about it. 

Is it any wonder I often keep thoughts to myself

try to safeguard the sweet air from verbal pollution

instead of dipping into the vicious brine

and treating that as a solution.
