Growing up
Every decision I take
And every mistake I make
Always has humongous strife
In my life
This I believe makes me aware
Of life lessons taught seldom and rare
For it is true
That experience is the best teacher for you
Yet as I live by my choices
Ignoring the vilifying voices
I wonder
How far I’ve come to wander
Not too long ago
I clung to my mother
And fervently followed her
Everywhere she went
Happy and Content
Sheltered from worldly woes
And oblivious of the unknown foes
I was a blissful child in my little bubble
Causing mischief and trouble
But nothing lasts forever
And I grew up due to societal lever
Judged and criticised harshly
For many actions
And unforseen glorification
For a few more
I realised soon enough
That society is fickle to core
Why give reign over me
To a society as this
Which drowns me
In pain and abyss

An interesting and entertaining rhyme pattern in this observation
on growing up and getting by in this often unforgiving world.
