When you can't change some things,

Think about the joy that light brings.

Try to laugh and dry your tears,

Think about the loved ones and dears.

 

 

Go for a walk instead of crying,

Wave to the birds that are flying.

Keep on walking through the leaves,

Only with a smile your heart believes.

 

 

When you can't change some things

Accept it as it is. It calmness brings.

You go up and down. That's life,

Eternal changes and eternal strife.

 

 

Over the years you will love more silence.

You overcome long distances with patience.

Over the years you'll understand the Lord,

And at last, you will say: Thank you, my God!

 

 

You'll have the one to whom you talk,

You'll have the one to whom you knock.

When you can't change the whole

Light a lantern inside your soul.
