Democracy's Last Stand!

The wolves are circling, teeth laid bare,

And still we stand, too numb to care.

They rise again, those we once knew,

Their flags wave high in red, white, blue.

Did we not learn from wounds and graves,

From screams of those they could not save?

The streets were paved with lies and fear,

Till fire consumed all we held dear.

This is no game, no idle fight—

Their poison spreads in broad daylight.

They speak of pride, of walls and might,

Yet breed despair in every night.

They come with gold in hand, in speech,

While freedom's breath they seek to leech.

But history has bled and cried—

And now they stand once more inside.

Do not forget, do not forgive,

For in their world, none free shall live.

We've once walked this path, we know its end—

A land no tyrant dares to mend.

The time is now, the stakes are clear—

Resist, before they feed on fear.

For freedom’s torch must brightly gleam,

Or none shall wake from this dark dream.

So rise, stand firm, while strength prevails—

The future calls with truthful tales.

Let no more tyrants wreck our way,

Or watch as all we love decay.

Wow Rolph!
What more can one add to that which you've so eloquently expressed.
The message is is loud and clear; we allow apathy and fear to rule at our peril. The world is on a razor's edge. Speak up for those who cannot.
