January 2025 Collage Poem: Best Not to Know
If God is real he has blue blood and wears a tin star
Miles and miles of special polish slips between glory and modesty
Blue is hot and hot is cool
Not precluding the toy tin star.
Titillation...or just tits? Best not to ask...
I went to the Rio Grande a King, came back a cowhand,
best not to know.
Crafted chords stretch for miles. Make love to my soul.
Best not to ask
Lizzie was with the window cleaner, but so what, whilst Nigel
was very busy, Zoom was nearly broken, the snow was piling up
and the cowboys ran riot, and deep down we all wondered
if a bunch of white men could right the wrongs of life.
Ghosts on the white sand, while inland somewhere forgotten
a river of memories. Please rescue us.....
Lady Day, ridden by needles stirs in vinyl legend.
