Left Handed Man

entry picture

I'm in a persecuted minority
Looked down on by the majority
I am known as the one in ten
Made fun of now and again
Dont mock me I was born this way
Just got to deal with it what can I say

I'm a left handed man
Doing the very best that I can
Working my way through life
All the trouble and the strife
Just need a master plan
I'm a left handed man

Writing can be a real pain okay
But laptops and phones rock hurray
I recall using a fountain pen
Smudging the ink again and again
Using scissors wasn't a snip
Makes me want to jump ship

I'm a left handed man
Back where it all began
Writing my page in history
My future is forever a mystery
Roaming free like a caravan
I'm a left handed man

Cack-handed was was the name they screamed
Wish I was normal I sometimes dreamed
Of all the famous lefties I am made aware
I am now empowered don't have a care
Leonardo da Vinci, Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Julius Caesar, Charlie Chaplin and Fred Astaire
To name but a gited few so there

I'm a left handed man
My smile is always deadpan
In the middle of a crowd but so alone
Just need a place to call home
How I long to be part of the clan
I'm left handed man

I'm a left hand man
Never will be an also-ran
I will hold my head up high
I have the power to touch the sky
Can I survive and thrive yes I can
I'm a left handed man
