Friends for all seasons
When seasons change
And coldness takes its place,
The symptoms of sadness shift and rearrange.
Leaves scatter, broken, brown, and dry,
Washed away or scrunched up high.
The storm breaks twigs, branches crack,
But the roots stay strong, keeping all intact.
Roots of life, spread with love and laughter,
Through these strong roots, new memories come after.
Season to season, the tree stands tall,
Only the branches change, but the roots stay above all.
