Ain't life a bitch?

entry picture

Well ain’t life a bitch? Amy arrested!

Amy Winehouse, fine outstanding singer!

I watched a documentary, with some red

Chilean last night. She’s a dead ringer

For Dusty Springfield, but darker; finger

And foot bloody, tattooed with grave excess.

Well, next day she’s banged up in the clink, her

Befuddled stagger and her soiled dress.

She makes a cracking story. What a mess

That crack pipe’s made of her windpipes! She’s fled

From tours, from the James Bond theme tune. Minger

To some, pin-up to others. Caused distress

To dad Mitch, whose black cab’s sadly headed

To North London to bury him or her.

◄ A lovely warm spring day

she destroyed her body. and she mutilated it.
she has the most amazing voice and talent I have heard in a long time, if ever.

superb poem
the poem has a great, clean rythm, its very easy to vocalise, I read it aloud and as a performance piece it worked for me too. I can take it and read it confidently.
its not complex or heavy going.

Its the kind of poetry I enjoy

thank you

HI Antonio, Nice poem. I enjoyed her songs, but felt sad and at times repulsed by her actions. Poor thing seems to enjoy abusing herself, she and she alone will pay the price, for drugs and drink. She is to thin, and looks sick all the time.

Great commentry about a talented singer who has hit the self destuction butten before her career reached the summit.

She even turned down Nelson Mandella. She probably thought he wrote a column in a newspaper. (I'll use that)

HI, Antonio

I had to Google the name as there is very little information who this person is...?
Well, I guess to bad for her that this happened.
Your poem is perfect and on time for the mishap.

"Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is not ready to return to work, according to her producer Mark Ronson."

GREAT JOB!

Thank you,
Zuzanna

Its rare she isn't dishevelled so she doesn't do much for me, not that I can talk! Like your poem though, nice one! cheers Jeff

You certainly like your current affairs commentry. I've not decided from this if you paint her as a minger or a pin up in your eyes.
